Where did the idea come for the Mystic Nights series?

In the spirit of making my blog something you want to read, a few months back I started sharing more of myself with my fans and followers.  Normally, I am such a private and shy person.  Last week, I shared my inspiration behind the Bounty Hunters series.  Then two weeks earlier I shared a sneak peek at Playing for Keeps.  So today, I I’ll share the inspiration for my Mystic Nights series with you.

So, Mystic Nights.  Where did that idea come from?  Well, I was finishing up my Bounty Hunter series, and I knew I wanted a spin off series as my fans did not want to see the end of the Marino Brothers.  I had written about a character in Book 4, someone Andreas had been involved with.  A girl named Aliya who had to make a very difficult choice.  I knew I wanted her to find her happily ever after.  She was the springboard for the series.  I was at the Imperial Palace Casino Resort in Biloxi and was having a blast with Maryann Jordan, I taught her how to gamble, and other writers at the Book signing event.  So I thought it might be cool to have a series set in a casino.  I grew up near a Native American Reservation as a child and my best friend, Tammy, is Native American.  It kind of just all came together from there. Plus, I wanted to write another family saga as well. The series has been doing well recently and I am so glad to have new readers and fans as the final installment will be here before you know it.  I hope you have been enjoying these books because they have been so fun to write.  I’d love to hear back from you, maybe in a review on amazon??? HINT, HINT.  What has been your favorite book in the series? Your favorite Sassacus so far?

Love,

MJ Nightingale
